I waited for a bus for a little more than half an hour today.
I can't wait the fifteen minutes it takes to make an iced coffee in the morning; instead, I go down the street to pay probably three times the amount it would cost to make it at home. Just to save ten minutes. Maybe I should get an espresso machine. That's not the point. The point- okay my point is: why would I wait for half an hour to save some gas money when I can't wait half that time to save probably about the same amount of money? Come on, I'm an american! Just as, delaware dart, are most of your other current and potential customers.
I see these earnest, clearly low-budget but prolific, ads for dart delaware, and I think: yes, public transportation is good, and I will gladly have you take me next time I need to travel near one of your many stops. But god damn. I now wonder whether, despite the ads, they even want to make money. Maybe all of dart delaware secretly hates their business and is just waiting around until every customer has given up on them so that they can say, "Well, we tried. Delawareans just don't want public transportation. Let's go make some SUVs."
Well. Would that it were, for I'm sure this explanation is much less frustratingly inane than the real reason the bus was late. |

Sometimes reading certain things makes your heart want to explode because there's just too much running through it.
In her is the end of breeding. Her boredom is exquisite and excessive. She would like some one to speak to her, And is almost afraid that I will commit that indiscretion.
see what i mean?
It only just occurred to me yesterday that the reason we talk about our hearts when we know that our hearts have nothing to do with the way we feel is because that's the area that is physically effected by emotion. Emotion is the accelerated rushing of blood through the heart, while it retains enough to swell to the size of a small watermelon. It makes my chest feel open. It makes me want to open my mouth even if i have nothing to say.
The town does not exist except where one black-haired tree slips up like a drowned woman into the hot sky. The town is silent. The night boils with eleven stars. Oh starry starry night! This is how I want to die.
Enough? Alright. I miss camille a whooooooole lot. |

why is everyone so secretive? i just want to know what's on everyone's mind. i don't like how everyone has to hide everything. people should just say everything they think about people always (most of the time at least). i can only imagine how long it's been since i have heard a completely 100% true statement.
in other news i am nervous about important things. |

1. cursive was really, really, really good on friday night. and i really, really, really like cursive again. i think tim kasher is really, really, really hottt again. 2. THE SEA MONKEYS ARE MATING (and jordan's executive tank came in) 3. i want to learn how to play the piano again, but the only person i know that plays well enough to teach will never teach me... you jerk. that just reminded me of the time my violin instructor offered to teach me french. i should have accepted her offer. alas, my regrets in life are prematurely numerous. 4. i ruined the season finale of project runway by peeking at the designers' collections online. i guess i am still looking forward to it, though. 5. camille called from spain the other day and it made me happier than i have been in quite a while. she told me about seeing gaudi's buildings in person. and her lame house-mate that is completely opposed to fun.
that's all for now. |
